Hello /g/.
I just ordered a Nexus 5x.
Did i cock up?
Lag

Explain.
Half of the people I talk to say it's great, no lag.
Half of the people i talk to say to flush caches, or not to install things like fb messenger/snapchat.
A further half say that the phone lags intolerably no matter what.
the 6p would have been the better choice
however, i just had to look up how how the hell you got a furry phone case
>google allows people to do their own cases when you order from them
wow
ok when the next hardware refresh with the new soc hits i will have to do some crazy shit to my case, thanks mate
Cancel the order. It uses an outdated SD808 chip. You can get a OnePlus 3 which has significantly faster single core performance with the SD820 and offers a stock-like Android experience.
I only get 2.5 hours SOT
I have the 5X. Anywhere between 2-4 hours of active Pokemon GO, depending on how you play. No lag. Updates instantly from Google, instead of waiting 2 years for Oneplus to announce they're not supporting your phone. Shit just works.
It's great.

That is tempting. 64 gb of storage stock is pretty neat. I feel like it's worth mentioning that I got a 32 gb model for 250 though.

This is the differential I keep on hearing.
Some people love it and give quantitatively good battery life figures, and some the complete opposite.
Is there someway to determine if the phone is a bad model ( I'm presuming some sort of manufacturing defect is the culprit here for the sake of argument) so I could send it back?

Tbh I'd wait for the new nexi
>>56185461
My old phone has lost the ability to make calls/navigate, so waiting is unfortunately not an option.

If flashing Roms doesn't scare you and you don't care about developer previews the OP3 is a solid choice.

But the OnePlus 3 costs twice as much.

OP we're in this together. I'm probably ordering one tomorrow because my phone also bit the dust.
You can get it for 200 on ebay if you look, so if you paid more than that, cancel and get it from ebay.
I can't find anything with comparable specs and a stock android experience/developer support etc.
I'm just worried it's too big and there's gonna be a nasty rectangle in my pocket since I'm a manlet and wear fitted pants.

is that 200 for the 32 gb model?
>no sd card slot
>non removable battery
lol
