This is probably a stupid question, but if my ASUS P8P67 says its compatible with DDR3 does that apply to the video cards memory?
I'm considering buying this or some others and I want to be sure GDDR5 is compatible. As far as PC Part Picker is concerned I think I'm okay, but I'm retarded.

you are fucking retarded
gddr5 is the memory the GPU uses, it's completely separate from the DDR3 you put into your motherboard
so yes it is compatible
GPU's memory type doesn't change the interface, it's still going to be PCIe.
So you'll be fine

Ya see, that's what I thought, but since this place is anonymous, I thought I'd be retarded for a minute because I'm super paranoid.

Thanks, dude.

literally the worst custom 390
get sapphire or power color

I'm not really looking to spend more than $300 on a GPU right now since I'm also planning on getting a new HDD and SSD.

msi has the highest benched OC though

I just need to know if this shit will last me 4 years. If it plays shit nearly on Max and can last that long, I don't really care.
I feel OP has been appropriately bullied
