I play games on my desktop with an i7 and a 1070.

The MacBook is just the smallest, lightest laptop with a great screen and keyboard. It runs Unix and I wanted that since I'm a cs grad student. Also buying in store right now gave me basically $350 off retail because they give you a student discount and some free wireless headphones you can sell to an idiot.

At work I have a Dell E7470 now and I love it. The build quality feels nice, the layout is basically a matte black macbook. It is relatively performant (good enough for a laptop by far, and I'll login to a server for anything that requires more resources) and the keyboard surprised me with how good it feels when I have to remove it from the dock and my happy hacking keyboard.

Before you call me a shill I didn't even pay for it but I would spend my own money on it if the seX1 Carbon didn't exist.
