Why is waifu 2X so restrictive?

I want to resize an image to be large enough to cover a 2560x1440 and 1920x1080 monitor. the image itself is nowhere near that aspect ratio so I need to make it huge to compensate. I was going to use waifu 2X but it only supports images up to 3000x3000 which is too small.

I tried 2xcaffe but it says time left unknown so I'm assuming it froze or something?

Which is the real kmspico site and does it actually work? Would it work with windows 7?

You are trying to activate Windows 7?
Use Daz loader:

Activate MSOffice or something like that?
MSToolkit:
http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/28669-Microsoft-Toolkit-Official-KMS-Solution-for-Microsoft-Products

Now to answer your questions:
Here is the original one.
http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/65739-KMSpico-Official-Thread
Yes it will.

You shouldn't use it since Daz Loader and MSToolkit are superior to it since they dont leave traces or background services/programs(KMSPico leaves them, theyre not malware but is better not have them).

If you are using a laptop/tablet, yes.
Desktop? you are somewhat better with 7 but 8.1 is good enough too.

You can download 7 ISO from here:

You can still get legit w7 isos from that german mirror site, cant remember the name but theyre completely untouched and legit.

I havent used 8.1 but I hear its basically 7 plus metro and fisher price looks and other small tweaks, so probably much more stable than 10.

most common type of digital audio is PCM (pulse code modulation)
it's comprised of a bitdepth, and sample rate
put simply, a sound device samples (reads the value of) a microphone or other sound source, and records its value at the sample rate (CD for example, is 44,100 samples per second). the resolution (accuracy) of each sample is the bit depth (CD is 16-bit, meaning each sample can be a value between -32,768 and 32,767)

just got a JBL Xtreme portable bluetooth speaker for college last night. It's certainly impressive for its size but meh in comparison to my studio monitors and 10" subs I use at my desktop. So I have three monitors

1200x1920 95.13 PPI
2560x1440 108.79 PPI
1920x1080 92.56 PPI

The center 2560x1440 has a higher DPI than the other two, so spanning a wallpaper across all three is difficult since the center will be distorted due to the DPI difference

how would I go about compensating for this DPI difference without actually changing the monitor DPI?
>>
>>56171148
current systems aren't flexible enough to do that in software
the best way besides simply using same-dpi monitors is to make custom resolutions that adjust for them

for example, you could set your 27" 2560x1440 monitor to 2176x1224 to make it 92.47 DPI, close to the lowest DPI monitor, then do the same for the 95 DPI one

I bought these 5.1 speakers today: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Surround-Theater-External-Speakers/dp/B003VAK1FA/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1471673881&sr=1-3&keywords=logitech+speakers

Hooked them up and everything seems great hardware-wise. I'm on Win7. I downloaded a 5.1 test file, and that plays fine - seems everything works fine when the actual content is in 5.1 originally. But when I tried to watch stereo content it didn't work, it only came out of the two front speakers.

So I tried to turn Speaker Fill on in the Realtek audio manager - the problem is, this makes audio come out of the center speaker just fine now, but the back speakers are still screwed. They do play audio but it is incredibly low and distorted. I searched high and low on google for an answer to this but couldn't find one.

The conclusion I arrived at was just using regedit to map the rear speakers to duplicates of the front speakers. Link: https://www.reaper-x.com/2012/02/13/how-to-remap-retasking-realtek-onboard-jacks-ports/

While this would (presumably) work, I would lose the ability to play back actual 5.1 content properly. I could extract two different regkeys and switch between them when I wanted to watch 5.1 content, but I'd need to restart each time so that would be a pain.

Basically, does anyone have any ideas for actually getting Speaker Fill working? If not I'm probably going to have to try this other idea.

UM.2= 32GB/s which is around +-3GB/s.

I've heard people argue about what's best for a beginner. My first language that I really understood was Python. I think it's an excellent language for starting out. I tried c++ as a kid but I just didn't get it once I got into classes. Nowadays, my favorite language is c++. Even so, I still go back to Python and even other languages when I need to. Python is the way to go.

No prob mane. Stick it out and don't let anyone confuse you by saying which language you need to learn. Unless it's for a class or job, just stick to Python. The basic concepts of programming transfer from language to language pretty well. Chances are, you'll know when it's time to pick up a new one. Then you'll know two!

got video classes, recitations, homework, tests, and readings straight from actual uni classes

Unit 1 is python + basic programming concepts
Unit 2 and 3 is basic skim on comp. sci theory, programming, and algorithms using python

Also, to 'self-learn', i always do this:
-read a book, test everything as i read it
-do some fun projects with open book
-read a different 2nd book with the same subjects than the 1st
-re-make the fun projects but better
-if still struggilng read a 3rd book with the same subjects of 1st and 2nd

there's none, a recode is always slow if you want quality.
use ffmpeg with a constant rate factor.
https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/Encode/H.264
https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/Scaling%20(resizing)%20with%20ffmpeg

you might even use h265 or vp9 instead if you want, but it'll take significantly longer.

>>56172696
with video encoding, you must choose a balance of;
- speed
- quality
- size
you can only focus on 2, and reach a compromise on the third

for example, if you want high speed and high quality, your resulting file will be large

have consoles/pcs outpaced handheld gaming? also, how? i mean, i remember the psp having games that were of ps2 quality, and every gameboy was capable of mario. i know phones can play d games to an extent, but i know it kills the battery too much to be worth it.

Desktop computers are several orders of magnitude more powerful than any handheld device. This of course doesn't 1:1 correlate to better games, but it has a much broader horizon.

when was handheld gaming ever better than home console/PC gaming? (technical quality wise)
the psp wasn't quite ps2 quality, and the xbox/gc were more powerful than the ps2, and also preceded the psp
as for PC, just look at UT2004, HL2, and FarCry (all 2004, like the psp)
>>
>>56171148
Just put it in photoshop and math it out, shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes
>>
>>56173607
why desktops became so much more powerful than handhelds. is it just that theres more of a market for home gaming?

christ i really cant type tonight

>>56173670
i know that pc gaming has been better than consoles forever, but at least the psp was comparable to its console counterpart. every nintendo handheld seems to just be another side scroller or mario kart machine. the psp and vita at least tried to be a console, and neither seems to have taken off. again, im also assuming the market factors into this.

Size and power consumption

im watching the english version of zootopia. I watched the german version beforehand
they changed some signs to german but the cahracters seem to still use the english "mouth movements". I know that re-doing the face of all the speaking characters is probably a lot of effort but is changing the signs/in-movie texts that much less?
>>
>>56173813
Editing signs can probably often be done in post-production, but even if it was re-rendered all you need to do is change a texture
Changing the animation for lip syncing take much more work.

>>
>>56173724
oh, i see what you're trying to say
you're asking why handhelds are no longer competing quality-wise with home consoles?
really, this has only happened a couple times before

the psp wasn't hugely behind then-current consoles, though not for long as it was released closer to the next generation than the start of the current
there's also the sega nomad, which is literally a portable genesis, sega's then-previous home console

besides that i can't think of any other handheld consoles that held a candle to their then-current home console counterparts
>>
>>56171447
Ahahahaha.
The reason you have local IP addresses in the first place is because ipv4 ran out of addresses. So it's being compensated for by having a router between the larger internet and your local network. And thus there is enough ipv4 addresses for almost everyone.
With ipv6, this shitty hack is no longer necessary. All your machines have an address directly in the larger internet.
Your buddy of using a superior addressing system.
>>
>>56173834
--oh, and the reason for this should be pretty obvious
you can simply do a lot more when you have much looser size and power constraints, and as time has proven, a larger pricing point (expensive handhelds are much harder to sell than expensive home consoles)
>>
>>56173827
I thought changing anything means you have to re-render the entire thing. And that high-end-quality rendering is incredibly expensive nowadays
I guess i dont know enough about movie production to make much sense of this. Thanks for the reply
>>
>>56173852
You forgot to mention the technology behind that, network adress translation.
>>56171447
if you're using an IPv4 address on your computer but your router has a IPv6 in the internet that means you're gonna have a lot of trouble connecting to your buddy
>>
>>56173865
It is possible that they render all the signs blank and add the actual text in post editing.
With "motion tracking" it can be fairly easy to insert the text like that.
>>
>>56173865
even if they did a texture swap and re-rendered the scenes, doing so is a much smaller job in terms of human effort than changing the lip-sync animations throughout the entire film
and lip-sync just isn't as important as readable signs

The hash is to only compare a file to another. You ask if this file is the same as that file.
There might be two files with the same hash, but a mistake to happen here is not very likely.
The actual hashing algorithm doesn't really matter.

The individual parts are tested individually because they're being transferred individually. You'd rather catch a bit flip as it happens, rather than waiting for a multi-gb downloads to finish before finding out that one bit is flipped.

I rarely restart it and it's nearly never stay shut. It's going pretty strong all these years. I only used it on my desk. I'm not a gamer. I use it as a workstation and an everyday machine.

so I've been thinking "should I get a desktop and upgrade to the newest gear?" lately.

I can't decide when to upgrade bcs CPU benchmarks don't really justify the performance difference for me as a real life user. I think it won't even open PS CS6 1 second faster than my laptop which opens it in 5 secs.

I mean check this out: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare.php?cmp%5B%5D=893&cmp%5B%5D=2565

you generally want to run node applications behind a transparent proxy.
so a request would go to your webserver first, then to your node application.

So you can have as many node applications running as you want, and not only one that hogs port 80.

Like
<request> <===> <nginx on port 80 or 443> <===> <node application on port 4001>
\\===> <node application on port 4002>

The chances are that the download is chunked into multiple packages rather than being a continuous stream so it has to stop for a moment, allocate the space, and resume with the download and so on, that's a wild guess though, maybe they simply do not offer a guaranteed bw for the download so it fluctuates.

The router works for everyone else, so I'm lead to believe it's a problem with the computer itself. Any advice?

So I'm finally ready to join the edgemaster game and rip my cds and PS2 games to my PC for both backup and piracy purposes.

What is the best way to rip cds to mp3s (decent quality mp3s) and ps2 games to isos that I can run with the loader.

What prompted this is I need more music for morning runs and I'd just like to have my whole disc collection and also the disc drive on my PS2 broke but I can still use the internal hard drive.

WD Reds dont are for casual use, but for NAS and storage.

Get a WD Black or Blue.

Get a good quality motherboard, not some cheap one or ASRock.

Anything else is designed to be 24/7 on.
>>
>>56176527
part specifications and limits generally refer to 24/7 usage
that is, you don't need to do anything special to make an always-on machine, they're already designed to run all the time

Cheapest I'm seeing in amazon is a ~35 USD Moto E

What about getting a second hand smartphone? Would that be unwise?

What is that place called where people sell a bunch of junk (electronics as well) in bulk? Like a bazzar or something.

>>
>>56177607
Right click the whitespace and probable enable devices. Your driver's interface such as Realtek HD Audio manger will have settings to allow you to enable multiple input and output devices, or to bind them together only using one and favouring whichever you set.

Current thread is stupid question. pointed-to thread is small questions.

Can't get my fucking motoG 2nd generation to connect to windows 10 via USB on a homebuilt desktop. Using a homebuilt windows 7 desktop it works perfectly. In both cases the phone charges and gives option to connect for transferring files. Installed motorola device manger. Installed windows component supposedly enabling such interfacing. No change, phone does not appear in explorer.
>>
>>56177677
(Windows 10 is really good with live audio hooking and managing channels of audio so I hope you're using it)
The option to split them will be in an interface provided by Realktek. Try to find it. Unfortunately I can't give example because Asus put a mask/decoration over this driver on my machine so it would look alien to you.

>>
>>56178627
No, should be 2 hours max.

Your HDD is kill.
>>
>>56178635
Because multiple reasons, its not easy to make stuff smaller.

MicroSD cards are simple, they get corrupted easy, they are really slow, they get stupidly hot for what they are, etc.

Meanwhile RAM is more complicated, it did got smaller recently(DDR4) but its hard to do it.

RAM is fast as fuck(DDR3 is 8GB/s@ 1336MHz for example, same for random read speeds), rarely gets corrupted and there is no need to make it smaller because commercial CPUs/Motherboards barely allow 64GB RAM.

There is no need of faster RAM either, it is already fast enough for most stuff.

>TLDR
Its hard and not needed for most stuff.
>>
>>56179587

Hmm, just bought the hdd; guess I'll turn it in then. : /
