C-Sense 16 really is one of the best.
Id also recommend trying Gen-To
U monkeys are worse then EA tech support.

>>56169338
The premium edition?
I found SUPERAntiSpyware to be better.
>>56169272
Thanks I'll read up
>>56169349
Ur saying I don't need to spend money every year on antivirus?
>>56169628

Aside from memes
What is the best free antivirus? I currently use bytesdefender or whatever its called
>>56169181
>>56169649
B......but that's free?!?!?!? How can it be better then Norton?
Fyi I have Norton & it lets tons of malware and shit through.
>>56169678
I use these in boot mode. http://www.tomsguide.com/faq/id-2602295/protect-remove-virus-malware-rootkit-infections-layman.html
SUPERAntiSpyware catches the most.
>>56169779
norton sucks bad. its probably the worst.
i just use avira. it has an ad that pops up once ina while, but its stopped everytthing . never had any problems since i started using it. norton slowed my pc down when i used it.
>>56169726
Do you think premium is worth it with any of them dude?
>>56169726
Unetbootin fucking blows. The latest version doesn't even work.
>>56169826
i wouldnt bother.
I use the free version of AVG.
Do people still make viruses anymore? I legitimately haven't gotten one since like 2008. The only "viruses" avg has found since then is cracks for games
>>56169850
dude i havent used every program on that.
>>56169795
Thanks for the tip man.
>>56169860
I meant security program. Want something that kills malware & rootkits for under $100.
>>56169795
>norton sucks bad. its probably the worst.
Norton hasn't been any good ever since Peter Norton sold it.
It was turning Pentium and 486 based machines into boat anchors literally over 20 years ago and still does to this day.
The instant Symantec bought it was the day it turned to shit.
>>56169649
Im using Avira atm but their free version has 48 hourly popup notifications. Might as well go pirate it
>>56169795
>>56169940
Not to jinx myself but I started using Avira few weeks ago and I never had a pop up. Is that normal?
I'm not in any free trial
>>56169181

windows defender + adblocker + patched browser + don't be an idiot
>>56170301
Damn that sounds good. I'll give that a shot. Tanks muchly
>>56170301
>>56170337
defender and ms security essentials lets stuff through. i had a problem several times.
>>56169240
>_> nigga.
I use Comodo. It's the only free active protection I've tried that wasn't shit, bloated, or irritating as sin.
AVG, Avira, and Avast all managed to piss me off one way or the other.
>>56169181
Firewall rules, adblock, and a backup drive. The first two block the shitter adware/spyware. Backup drive for when your PC gets fucked up from a virus that most software won't help with anyways (ransomware/RATs).
>>56170346
Oh.... ....nvm. NVM.
>>56169726
this needs to be updated.
>>56170428
By 'Firewall' you mean firewalls in general right, or an actual antivirus program called Firewall?
>>56170507
If you're using windows, windows firewall is more than enough for most people.
>>56170552
So all I need to do is learn how to tweak it? Right paw?

Common Sense 2010 Pro for lyfe.
>>56173848
I was told that the whole Geeksquad department at my local BestBuy uses Bitdefender on their personal computers. I currently have Norton 360 on my laptop, do you think its worth changing? I feel like Norton is severely bogging down my machine, considering installing it altogether.
Mcafee, I use it, and personally, it's stopped everything.
>>56176139
I strongly recommend you upgrade to mcafee
>>56176182
Isnt Mcafee just as heavy on your system as norton?
>>56176209
No, I use it myself, very light, fast, and very high detection rate.
>>56176209
Those are old, outdated memes.
Linux

>>56169860
>do people still make viruses anymore?
They moved to ransomware since it's way more profitable.
>>56176486
You'd think they'd be focusing on making viruses for smartphones now, people are still delusioned that they can't get viruses on their phone. It's the perfect opportunity
>>56176528
Well they are making viruses, and finding vulnerabilities. The only way to get viruses is by installing apks or shady apps from play store.
