I have a 2012 32gb model nexus 7 that was beast as fuck when I got it, but like most young men, it got old and fucking a pain in the ass to use before its time. I mean, I use it now to read books, comics, and pre-downloaded movies... but it's slow AF.
So I got off my ass and rooted it, put Bodhi linux on it, but the soft-kb stops working when I try to use the command line, and the apk manager wont work. My little bluetooth kb wont work because there is no bluetooth option.
What are some good OS
s to dual boot with my device?
Also, free discussion on fixing old-tec with new software general I guess.

Just use android 5.1 or 6.0 with a light launcher you retard

I could but I wanna try using some other software on it. Just fucking around with it. Why not at this point?

guess you could try ubuntu touch, sailfish (?) and many, many other phone-oriented linux distros (or "distros")

You're better off with using ubuntu + e17 for the 'it just werkz' factor

Cyanogen will give you a functioning and fast device. Update the kernel to a better one and you will be set.
