Hey so Im new to this board but basically ive got a pc that i built three months ago- i5 6500, 16gb hyper x ram, msi b-150, EVGA gtx 970 sc, a 1tb hdd, and its all in a corsair spec-alpha white and red case and Ive recently obtained around 160 quid- $210 and I was wondering if you guys could recommend any upgrades I could make to it and if its worth starting out a custom water cooling loop starting with only the cpu but being compatible with adding the gpu to the loop later on?

SSD
what one would you recommend? capacity?
Just get a 120 GB for booting up

Doesn't matter... everything is much faster than your HDD.
Samsung and Crucial are good. 128GB+++

how much noticeable gain will i get from an ssd
>>56147224
PC will boot in like 10 seconds, probably less, gaymes would start way faster too if you put them on it
how easy would it be to move my op erating system from my hdd to the ssd

You will get noticeable gain. Unlike your water cooling. Buy a fucking SSD.
>>56147377
just install it again.
also cause I can easily afford a 240 gb ssd what other things could i buy to increase performance/ aesthetics?

What else do you really need? Your specs look beyond fine. Save up for when you actually need something.
You do need to get that ssd albeit.
okay im gonna get the ssd and because my pc is fairly new im only using 180gb of space so surely it wil be easiest to just migrate everything onto the 240gb ssd?
>>56147463
you could always go for a 512gb one just to be safe in the future.
>>56147490
hella expensive tho
>>56147496
Yeah don't get that. It's unlikely you'd need more storage. If you do get close to filling it up just migrate everything you don't use much to an HDD (movies, music, books, whatever).
