Fucking Linux. How do I install GPU drivers for GMA3600? There is no real documentation and people on forums tell me to install ubuntu 12.04 because the driver package was only released for this system and never ported to anything newer. I don't want to be stuck with an acient kernel.

install gentoo

No support nor documentation for Gentoo 2D acceleration is not good enough for me.
>>56136345
It was merged with AMD open source drivers.
Do you really think you can use a modern os on an Intel Atom?
You wouldn't have this problem on Windows.
>>56136345
there are no "driver packages". they're a part of the kernel.
upgrade your kernel to the latest release, 4.7, or use a distro that comes with it.

Works fine on my d2500 and hd5450.
Solus btw.

>GMA3600

>desktop Linux driver for PowerVR ever being available
nope
>>56136652
>open source driver
Yeah, 2D acceleration with no 3D. Fucking Quake III gets 10 fps with tholis driver.
>>56136679
I would. Also, no support for 8/10 and 64bit systems. Intel told me to fuck off as they bought that gpu from powervr and they won't support it.

It is available for Ubuntu 12.04, but it won't install on any never kernel/distro.

>10fps
>on Intel atom igpu
I'm surprised you're getting more than half of that

You can run quake on a much weaker machine. I remember WOW working fine on other Atom Netbooks.
Use the modesetting driver.
