Trying to get this bash shell string manipulation working, but it failsIN="firsttext\nsecondtext"
IFS=$'\n' read -ra ARR <<< "$IN"
for i in "${ARR[@]}"; do
echo $i
done
The output gives me:firsttext
seco
dtext
I just wantfirsttext
secondtext
What am I doing wrong?
Is OP's picture true?
>>56136360
yes the circle on the right was simply scaled
look at eh fuzzy edges
>>56136360
The bottom of the left is aligned to the bottom of the right, and the top of the left is not aligned with the top of the right. So no, it is not true.
>>56136360
yeah, it's just an optical illusion
Try: IFS="\n" with double quotes.
