So I got this DenonAVR X1200W receiver, that offers connecting devices via hdmi and oldstyle av. I want to connect both a wii u and an older wii to it, but I can only select either hdmi or av (eg for setting media player).
Anybody know a way to use both inputs?

So in other words you don't want to waste a hdmi port to an av port.
I don't believe you can. It is a "This OR that" setting not a "This AND THAT"

if I'm reading the manual right, it doesn't look like you can add sources beyond what's already there, so you're limited to the 7 or whatever sources already programmed, so even though you've got 8 possible inputs (5 hdmi + one front hdmi + two analog) you'll have to lose one of them if you want to assign all the inputs.

Pretty much. But I don't want to use eg the mediaplayer config with both ports but rather create a new config to use the av port or be ableto select the av port directly. I couldn't figure out a way to do it, though.

Yes, thats what it seemed to be. I couldn't find a way to select any input port directly besides configuring it to any preset config/selections. No way around this?
