Is it possible to stream sound over ssh?
I have a Ubuntu 16.04 server and i am trying to get DF audio working.
I am on a Windows 7 box using extraputty for reference.

Just use VNC?

nigger, there's exactly one track that plays. just put it on repeat in the background.

Was about to say this.
If it was any other game, it'd have had some merit, but DF is a song and nothing else.
I feel like listening to it now.

VNC requires a desktop ev, I can only use a terminal.

Yes.
Yeah you can use netcat and ssh port redirecting.

I've never done it lol. I just know that you can use netcat to pipe data from a socket to a port and then forward the port with ssh then pipe it back to a socket.

You probably want to use lame or something to encode the audio too because sending raw or pcm is going to eat up way too much bandwidth.

tmux, then.
