Again wrong, two screws and the bottom panel comes off, after that it's a quick blast of air and all dust is cleaned. It's by far the easiest laptop I've ever maintained. Do that once every couple months, change the past once a year and it never makes a sound or gets hot.

why not look for an XT3 as it's much the same but with sandy bridge
when mine started to fuck up i replaced with a T400, but i do miss it as the keyboard wasn't as mushy as the one on my T400 or T420 and it was so light, and i loved the magnesium body, and it's only main negatives were the 1280x800 screen, the 1gb of soldered RAM, and the touch digitizer is an N-Trig instead of the better wacom digitizers, but it was understandable as wacom didn't have a capacitive screen back in 2009, oh and that bloody awkward 1.8inch micro SATA slot.

A big part of why I specifically chose the XT2 how it looks. While it'd be nice to have a more up to date machine, the XT2 is far more than enough power for me, not really worth the aesthetic downgrade for performance I'll never use. The micro SATA slot never bothered me either, I just got an adapter and replaced the HDD with an mSATA SSD

runs dota at max at a great 60 fps steady framerate, only game i really play

otherwise I got a rig at home too, but this was the best laptop buy ever, better than my old thinkpads.
