that's how I do it, if you're feeling a little crazy and wanna make it even more efficient you can use your thumb for the V and have your index finger primed on R.

I understand now how you would do that, but you have to crunch your fingers to getter even closer than they would be if you just had them sitting on home row the normal way

a = pinky
s = ring
d = middle
f = index

with your thumb already resting on the spacebar, you would just use it to hit V, then E with middle finger, R with index, S with ring, E with middle again
