look, I don't browse robot or anything, but the only place close to this (reddit) is flooded with people that are honestly just too normal. here, even though some of the posters are insufferable, at least we share commonalities, socially awkward, nerds, were decent or good enough academic performers. even though we get the occasional retard who stumbled onto /g/ from /v/ or /b/, just from reading the posts i love knowing i'm talking to like-minded people, rather than the fucking retards i encounter irl

also, besides reddit there really is nowhere to go, and I hate the way they actively censor the community. 8ch is shit because of the IP logging thing, and desu their total lack of moderation has led to it being monitored possibly even more closely than this place

sometimes i wish there were somewhere else to go, but there isn't as far as i know. smaller places would either be a circlejerk (irc) or so unknown(lain) there are no posters
