It's a good way to introduce someone to programming, if they're afraid of it or have a pre-conceived notion that it's hard.
Just another failed attempt to make programming accessible to demographics that want nothing to do with it

I loved the color coding and type labeling, so easy I could tell how to use it from the 3min demo.
But I also deeply respect power and procedure, and it is no C or even C++.
While it is good, I think building a good GUI like this for a traditional languages would have had a far bigger impact as the power is not with the code but the simple Integrated Development Environment.
In sort, not bad but better to build a better IDE.
>so awesome now my kids can be programmers too!!!
i mean if you are going to be a massive sheep helicopter parent at least try to make your kids become doctors or something else respectable
Could it be used to actually make something lasting?
Great for literal children.
currently making my game engine in it

I enjoyed it as a kid. Once you start making anything really complex, dragging blocks around starts to feel really slow which is a good motivator for learning actual code.

haskell is better

My opinion is that I didn't need it to learn programming as a kid. BASIC was pretty basic already for me; I'd recommend Python 3 now as baby's first language probably.

Irritating and time consuming to use. I prefer C.
