Ransomeware.
The android work as a sand box, but the effect of each app still take place.
Meaning a virus app will run until you shut it down, but if it prevent you from doing so, there isn't much you could do.

Get OSMand~ instead.

There's this tool that lets you see what all the app does, what files it accesses, domains it reaches, permissions, etc, good for if the application isn't in an antivirus company's database yet
