Do you encrypt data on your HDD/SSD?
What method do you use (bit defender, truecrypt, LUKS, raw dm-crypt)?
Do you use the encryption feature built into your HDD/SSD (OPAL)?

FileVault 2, full disk encryption as well as on my backup drives.
Desktop: truecrypt
Laptop: LUKS.

Isn't truecrypt compromised?

isn't Apples backdoored FDE only working on the system drive?
Maybe they changed it a couple of years ago idk

You can right click any drive in Finder and there'll be the option to encrypt it using either your FileVault key or a new one (then the option to store it in the cloud). Same goes for when you enable TimeMachine on a drive, you'll have the option to encrypt your backups.

It's not compromised, but it isn't supported either, just like WinXP.
