I'm having trouble finding a pic of what your watch is supposed to look like new, but your dial does not appear to have aged well. It literally looks like poo. Also, why did you put on a strap that's obviously too narrow?

Alright fämälams. For those who give a shit, here's my shitty review of the SARX019, as promised.

What I liked:
- The enamel dial is beautiful. Better than expected. The surface has a subtle wavy and sprinkle-y texture which doesn't really show in the pics. The Glorious Nipponese folded 200x handiwork by Yokozawasan did not disappoint (except for the date window).
For your weaboo masturbatory pleasure:
http://www.seikowatches.com/world/tokinowaza/yokozawa/
- Heat blued hands looks almost as good as those on an IWC or Ulysses Nardin. Almost but not quite, as those watches have more rounded finish of the edges.
-The quality of dial markings is superb.
- No eaten numbers. The III is shrunk to fit the date window, rather than cut off.
- Subtly domed sapphire crystal.

What I did not like:
- Mediocre crocodile strap, looks and feels cheap - way too glossy and the keeper stitchings are a bit rough. The deployant clasp is also finicky and hard to properly click into place.
- The date window border and finishing could be better.
- Sub-second indices are inappropriate for this type of watch.
- Huge "SEIKO" text and unnecessary "Automatic 23 jewels" text. The former's font size should be half of what it is, and in italics.
- It's fuckhuge for a dress watch. 40.5mm wide and 12.9mm thick. Almost as thick as my Valjew chronos.
- The bezel/case interface is very prominent - I'd prefer it to be as seamless as possible.
- Polished case finish always looks worse in person than in pictures, imo. Attracts lint/dust/fingerprints like no other. I'd prefer satinized brushed.

Overall, the design of this watch is much more like a deck watch (such the Stowa Marine) than a dress watch, which is not immediately apparent from the pictures. Case finishing is decent, but still noticeably inferior to my Sinns and Tutima. Worth what I paid for it ($470) but not full retail ($700-$800), imo. 7/10 for the price I paid. Should serve me well until I get a Nomos next year.

>>56106404

Its actually smaller than my current 40mm ym. The bracelet is hanging as it wasn't adjusted yet. So it might seem looser and big from that perspective.
But I am unlucky to have small wrists and big hands and forearms. No amount of working out is going to really add much to my wrists haha.

Anyways just sent out some troops on the ground to see if Hong Kong has any 5711 available in stock. Maybe sit on the decision a bit longer.

>>
>>56109890
70% of their range are shameless Submariner homages.
Their own designs aren't too hot either.
The OVM is fantastic though, the only complaints people have here about it is the false patina, beyond that they just spam "steinshit" and hope enough people meme along.

I mean, let's be fair here.

If someone were interested in buying a Rolex because of their unique 904L stainless steel, their highly accurate movement with parachrom hairspring, paraflex shock protection and other technologies Rolex uses, then steinhart is nothing. Steinhart doesnt attempt to use any of the important technologies of Rolex. They copy the most basic surface look. They copy what is /fa/, because they have no interest in /g/.

When they're actually available, and if you're able to get one, then they're nice enough.

Though I fail to see the point of a gas escape valve in a diver only rated for 200m.

9015 runs at a factory states maximum of -10/+30 if I'm not mistaken.

OVM totes a 2824-2 Elaboré, with a daily average of +/-7, with a maximum of +/-30.

I'm not able to find any documentation stating the factory expectations of average accuracy for the 9015, perhaps you may have more luck.

If you can get your hands on one, I imagine they are fantastic, but I also imagine they're on back/preorder for the next dozen or so batches.
>>

>>
>>56110737
An Atmos is around 6 to 10k, it's anything but the best example, you dunce. I know what's really going on, you saw the question and realized you can't even name one, so you name dropped the Atmos so you wouldn't feel like an idiot anymore.
>>
>>56110809
>Though I fail to see the point of a gas escape valve in a diver only rated for 200m.
People use He mixes above 200m. Though the decompression from an ascent from above 200m might not be so bad that the crystal gets popped.

I don't really know though, I'm not a diver.
>>
>>56110814
Grey market Atmos starts under 5k. And it is a fantastic clock. And clearly I can name one. Lol
>>
>>56110841
Exactly. People use He beyond 200m..So why is a gas escape valve present in a watch only rated for 200m? Seems redundant to me.

>>
>>56110737
He's right. "Lots" of people here buy Seiko 5, not a Reverso and you know that.

>>
>>56110878

>>
>>56110891
Ah. Right. Misinterpreted that.
Either way, point still stands.
We see divers rated for 300m, no gas valve present, then we hit 600m, and we start to see them, is anything like that really necessary on a piece only rated to such a comparatively shallow depth?
>>

>>56110917

>>
>>56110910
I guess a lot depends on the construction of the watch and how secure the crystal and how helium-tight the seals might be. A 1000m Seiko Marinemaster won't have a HE valve due to the design of the seals. A 300m Rolex won't have one because how tough it is. An old Amphibia 300m won't have one because they didn't give a shit. Some 200m microbrand will have one because watch autismos love that shit.

Here is my Seiko SARY055, it's the JDM model, though I know there is a similar international Presage model floating around out there, SRQ's? Too lazy, regardless, beautiful watch, beautiful finish and casing. Just gorgeous in person. Couldn't be happier, though I know someone at some point will bring up the Sarb and it's 6R15, this 4R has done just as well, with a beautiful caseback and rotor btw. With an average gain/loss of 3 seconds per day, I don't think I could be any happier.

Let me begin by commending you on your fine taste, anon.

My family has one. the anchor makes a turn and back in one minute and you can just stand there and behold the amazing mechanical wonder of the clock.

Cryogenic grade coolness is obtained from the bellows that drives the main spring. Old design used variations in the atmospheric pressure (hence the name) while newer ones use variations in temperature. That is a problem if the room is regulated by thermostat without lowering temperature at night.

I hear that Atmos clocks are used in official gifts by the Swiss government, a stately gift that should impress any head of state.

My last Lexus I bought it used for like 5k, and it ran for another 15 years before I traded it in for this one($55k). I guess I am a fanboy, I already love it more than my family's Mercs(no performance, poor gas, basically buying the badge IE the Rolex of cars) and BMWs(330, love the performance, hate the gas mileage). I am sadden there is not a Japanese luxury brand around the build quality of a Rolex, because I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Basically the helium divers breathe, when they do saturation dives seeps into the watch. And the internal pressure of the helium builds up damaging parts/gaskets inside.

Partner with a Chinese company to make parts that don't 3d print well. For instance a balance wheel type clock make the springs and sell them. Then advertise that people can either print their own parts and buy your 'minimal set' of springs and maybe wheels, or they can buy your complete set of parts (either printed yourself or injection molded in China, it's still a kit so you could just send them the sprus the parts are on)

>How can I profit off this?
Serious suggestion: make a device to polish 3D printed wheels. The texture from 3D printing is sufficiently rough to halt the entire movement so there is a real need for a device to polish and finish the teeth on the wheels.

The clock I mentioned here >>56114997 had all plastic parts with the exception of the main spring. I might try to fix it using a (big?) weight rather than spring.

Credor has gone thru a lot. Was once much more 'cartier-wannabe.' turns out Cartier is not what a company should emulate and they've gone on to do a lot more in finding Credor its own identity instead of copying someone else's. The Eichi II will, hopefully, serve as a centerpiece for what they can be and will be, rather than watches like either chrono, moving forward.

Get something similar to pic related. It's padded and holds 8 watches or a gorillion straps. Search for "zippered watch travel box" on Amazon and buy the cheapest one - they're all made by the same chinese factory. Just don't pull the elastic straps too hard because the glue that secures them to the sides is weak as shit (I had to super glue them back in).
>>
>>56113945
That was one of my few gripes, I was surprised who ever designed the watch wasn't as OCD about the date display. My other complaint is the word titanium engraved on the side.

>>56114360
I see it differently. For a $100 more I got titanium with a PVD coating. Since it's my daily driver for a long time (I saved up to buy it), those were necessary in my decision.
