Put an Intel cpu in the socket upside down this morning at work. Bent some mobo pins. Probably shouldn't have stayed up so late last night.

Bought a new PSU and Motherboard anyway.

Bought a barebone laptop.

I dropped all the components in—it wouldn't boot. The power light would click on for a fraction of a second.

Took it to a repair shop. Turns out the pins on the CPU were bent. shiet

Connected a not gate ic vcc/ground backwards. I didn't realize (somehow...) and burned myself and melted my breadboard. Pretty minor mistake though.
