Got this email, looked at original message and it does appear to actually be from EA.
Why do they say their emails won't contain clickable links but then have a clickable link?
BTW this is for an account I don't use that never had any payment info entered for it so I'm not really worried.

Having looked it up online I see it is a phishing attempt, but how do they get a subdomain at ea.com?
I got one from Rockstar the other day and the link in that email goes to socialclub.rockstargames.com is that one illegitimate as well?
You can spoof sent-from addresses
I can send you an e-mail from [email protected] if I wanted to
Of course, if you replied I wouldn't be able to see it though.
Still great for phishing

it's easy as fuck to spoof that shit
routing replys is fucked but who cares when all you want is someone to click a link

I did know you can spoof a send address easily, should have considered it but I didn't.
The link doesn't go where it says, but to click.e.ea.com which is in fact registered to EA.
Just seems like a really weird email to get.

Are you actually this fucking retarded???
I don't expect anything intelligent from tripfags, but you're going ahead and beyond in terms of faggotry

Well I went to rockstar's website on my own and reset the password. I may be retarded but I ain't full retarded.

you can send a email as Obama if you want to.
l2rn technologies bro

I already said I knew that but why am I getting these emails?
They seem to be legitimate as they link to the official sites but I didn't request any password changes.
origin always emails me in russian for some reason.

What does the link point to when you hover over it?
Also no space between 2016Electric in the copyright notice.
Pretty good phishing though.

I think GMail automatically converts text links to clickable links for convenience purposes.

There's no agency that confirms incoming emails so anyone can spoof the headers to make it seem like [email protected] sent it

Where <token> is something I removed so you silly bears can't steal my unused account
