We are not abandoning ChromeOS. It has a pretty extensive roadmap and will simply come closer to the Android ecosystem over time.

In the next two years, almost every chromebook device will be touchscreen and will run Android apps.

I've got an R11 and it's pretty sweet. I can switch between linux and Chrome with key combos, without rebooting.

Chromebooks are great. Get crouton on that shit and I have a simple entertainment device and a great programming environment at the flip of a switch.

It will effect the consumer and enterprise devices bit not soon due to the amount of rework we would have to do for enterprise users with the current Google Admin console controls.

Which Android apps are missing?

You could get chrome store VLC and just need a torrent client and you're good to go on anime, though the Android VLC might be better.

Shaping up to be a full on machine sans productivity programs.

Standard ones are good if you need them for light work
