>Time to trow away the fucking tape radio on my car.
Is 2016, after 10 year that i don't look at car radio i bet that now i can buy a space ship AI for 100$.
>browse amazon for some 1din car . Same shit of 10 year ago with same prices.
Really, what went wrong?
There's not much competition for them. Most people aren't going to invest in aftermarket radios, and would rather just integrate their phone.
Fuck that, make your own CarPuter (That's a word I'ven't said in a while...) wi RasPi's or some other board computer.
Damn near every vehicle made now comes standard with Bluetooth. That's all normies need. Aftermarket makes hooking up subs super easy, but again, normies will just go to an audio shop and have them splice into the factory harness.

what's wrong with going to audio shop? I don't understand your point?

I was thinking on that! But i have trouble finding a cheap hdmi monitor with enough brightness to be used in a car (I recall some scale for measure the brightness of the monitor). And doubtful about boot times.

Nothing. I'm pointing out that you don't need the plug and play of an aftermarket deck when you can just have the guys at the shop splice into the factory harness for a couple bucks. If they already have their phone hooked up to the factory deck and it just werks that's what people will do.
