So, I just got my dick wet into programming after working for a web hosting company. And I decided to start with GoLang, because 2 of my friends that work with me are rewriting all of or internal tools to work with GoLang.
Is this a bad idea starting to learn how to code with GoLang?
Do any of you have credible resources of self teaching?
Thanks in advance.

In addition to what the anon above said I always recommend looking for koans on whatever language you want to learn
GoLang is a good place to start, anon. It's got the simplicity of Python, Perl, et al. but the power of C and C++.
I'm working on learning it myself and I have to admit that I'm having some fun.
The sources I'm currently using are:https://gobyexample.com
http://openmymind.net/The-Little-Go-Book
https://golang.org/doc/effective_go.html
and obviously lots of Google.

Go is a good little language imo. Its very good at what it aims to be very good at (easy and fast to write, fast to compile, have easy to handle dependancies). The only thing that took me some time is the syntax, its kinda weird
