Hi /g/.
My website was defaced a few days ago, I called the local police but they said they could not do anything about it.
Who are you suppose to report crimes like this to?
>>56070382
You're supposed to report it to the cyberpolice.
>>56070382
You're not, no one gives a shit about cybervandalism unless you're a business or someone with a reputation.
Even if they did give a shit, they probably wouldn't have the resources to look into it.
>>56070382
the cyberpolice, of course.
consequences will never be the same

Nice troll
>>56070443
I know what you guys will do to it.
>>56070459
I don't know what that means. I'm not a web development specialist I just run things.
>>56070667
>Who do I report this to?
Your elite team of hackers and your private military company.
>his business doesn't own a private military company
HAHA poorfag, that's why no one cares about your shit then
>>56070667
>Who do I report this to?
The Police, if you're in the US, the FBI might be a good place to start..
In the case of the local police, if serious enough will be taken to Interpol.
Really, it all depends on how much damage they did and how much it cost your business.
These things do get taken very seriously, but not if you're some guy just running a random webpage for your friends.
Jesse Slaughter's foster dad.

>url
>url hosting company
>ftp login

>date of birth
THanks, jsut reply to this and I'll take it form here, gotta bring these criminals to justice.

The FBI won't touch anything under $100,000. Must be a verifiable loss.
>>56070414
Literally this. Don't come to us asking for help then disregard our input. This answer is the answer you're looking for. You need to understand that like this user said, you're no one and your site means nothing. That's not us being dicks, that's 100% straight up and down the truth.

Is this anywhere in writing?

My website is important. Go troll on >>>/b/
He problem is that you have to undergo some investigation. For a web defacing I don't think the attacker is much sophisticated, he probably left his prints all over he place. Check your logs and so on. He probably used tor or some other proxy though.
You should probably get somebody who knows cyber security/forensics and have him find out as much as he can before proceeding with any sort of legal action because it (legal stuff) will take a lot of time and maybe even moni, and if the attacker didn't leave a large enouh trace, there is probably not much that can be done. The cyberpolice already has a lot of cases to work through.
That said, your hired hacker should also patch your system to prevent this from heppening again

If your website was important you would already have the resources and knowledge you are trying to gain in this thread. No businessman would come to /g/ for this.
I feel pity for those haxxors. Ffs if they want to show off as cool, why not hack NASA, NSA or some shit? Why make it hard for some small time website owners?
I have seen the Palestine sick fucks hacking some hospital's website, some virtually unknown country's governmental website and the deface message contains 'free Palestine', 'we don't have guns but have brains' etc. What the fuck? Why and how would a hospital free Palestine? Go hack FBI and tell them.
Same goes to that massive pile of shit anonymous.
