MooTools was better, cpojer works at facebook now while davidwalsh is with Mozilla.
The guy that had lemmings on his webpage was clearly an above average programmer, but I don't know what he's doing now.
jQuery was very simple, even literal homosexual designers were able to "code" in it.
I don't know if I like Angular, react and the like though, I prefer using small libs, like virtual dom when I need them.
There's hope with webassembly IMO

I sure hope so, that intermediate code can be optimized out the ass, I don't know if you can do that with regular JS

It served back in 2005 as a much needed stable cross-platform DOM API since a certain browser refused to be compliant.
I don't know why its used _CURRENT_YEAR_ nor do I care
Useful if you need IE8 (or lower) compatibility.
