I am glad I adopted Thunderbird. It works
I want to just use mutt, but I can't into it. I usually just keep it closed and rely on K9 on my phone for notifications, unless I want to check RSS feeds.

Probably "fucked" along with e-mail as a medium as a whole, given that every start-up's boilerplate business plan is "replace <viable open public protocol X> with our proprietary monetizable advertising platform bullshit"
