So, just about everything now comes with DRM, that's obvious, Biggest pain in the ass for me is transporting things through different formats. Almost becomes easier to just order a CD off of Amazon at this point. I used to have a PC setup on windows XP just so i could remove it, but that one bit the dirt last month.
I've been using Audials recently and that seems to be working well... downside it isn't exactly free. So, I've gotta ask... anyone know what's left of the once large options for removing drm?
I buy music with iTunes which is DRM free.
>inb4 muh lossless
If Apple ever introduces a lossless format in the store (more than likely) they will probably have an "upgrade" option much like when they transitioned to iTunes plus years ago. If it's not on iTunes, I use rutracker.
Also download movies through iTunes and have a separate PC with iTunes 10.7 on it so I can strip the movies of their DRM with Requiem. Being able to have a library where I can redownload all of this shit on a whin with all metadata intact is great conpared to when I used to just pirate everything and host it on my home server.
I don't bother removing DRM from games because Steam is great. GOG if I want DRM free games. Origin if necessary.
You know how I afford this shit? I have a job and I budget. Most people have the first one but have no idea how the fuck to budget. You can easily buy all the shit you want if you properly budget and have some patience.
Don't particularly care for Itunes, just a personal thing. Haven't checked out rutracker. It's not a matter of not having a job, it's a matter of not wanting to pay for the same shit again because it has DRM.
