Here's the deal: I am in need of a fairly small laptop(13-14 inches) to use for a youtube/very light gaming machine. The Top end of my budget is probably $650. This is to pair with a desktop computer so I can chill on my bed and still do semi heavy browsing or use it on campus at school. Best Buy has some decent back to school deals going on, but there are so many fucking laptops and different reviews I am having trouble narrowimg down choices. Any opinions?

You can get a 5000 series for around $550 with either an i5 ulv processor, or a faster quad core if you don't mind lower battery life. Just make sure you get one with a 4 cell battery and a 1080p screen.

Price / perf this is the best choice in the thread. Best you might find is an i5-6200u + 960m/950m laptop for $650 op. And that's before tax and with some discounts.

If you're not a fan of the "bulky" look of the thinkpads, take a look at the T420s/T430s, slimer than their non-s counterparts.

Is it fairly easy to upgrade the RAM on these? 4gb seems like not enough for heavy browsing
