What VPN configurations do privacy conscious /g/aylords use for daily browsing?
>>
I wish someone would even explain how to use a VPN - the wiki doesn't, it just states that you SHOULD use one.

Is there even such a thing as a free vpn?

I believe so, but usually their speeds aren't as good, or they keep logs of some kind.
>>
>>56015733
Yeah just google it

I don't use one myself but would use one if there were a reliable way to configure it per-browser so the rest of my traffic isn't affected and doesn't require switching around

I wish wiki showed how to set up a vpn server yourself

Get a paid VPN, I've been shopping for the last two weeks and finally pulled the trigger. Works seamlessly and has a kill switch also damn fine for YouTube and other streaming services

Which one did you go with?
>>
>>56015648
- Shadowsocks with salsa20 and one-time-auth on udp 443 (good for mobile conections and openvpn obfuscation)
- Stunnel with letsencrypt on tcp 443 (works better for restricted corporate environments, but slower)
- Failsafe openvpn with tun tcp mtu1300
- Fast openvpn with tap udp and all speed related tweaks
Put all openvpn interfaces in /24, install miniupnpd for port forwarding and amahi for bonjour relay.

Nordvpn here and no complaints

What is a kill switch on a VPN?

What's the average price? Any overpriced price ranges?
