External Cable Management

A desk with a backplate on the legs. Then use double sided tape to secure a power strip and any other hardware as well along with mountable cable holders/clips of some kind. For long runs use that spiraled plastic cable wrap stuff.

I use staple nails in the back of the desk and tie the cables to them using zipties.

The backplate is referred to as a modesty shield.. which is only useful if you're buying from an office furniture supplier.

I bought a desk with cable holders and screwed 2 power strips to the underside of the desk, so the only cables I see are the 2 power strip cables and the phone cable of my router.
