Hello /g/. I'm looking to switch to Linux from Windows 10 because of Microsoft's recent bullshit. The thing is, I'm not sure what distro to install. I don't play games, I do primarily office work on this and listening to music. I'm not very familiar to Linux terminal, save for some wireless penetration testing I did with BackTrack/Kali a few years ago.

What distro would /g/ recommend?

I'm in the same boat except I do play games and I'm even less competent with Linux or any sort of coding. If it weren't for the bullshit levels of spyware/lack of update control I'd upgrade my win7 to 10 but fuck that.

Simple to just install and use, no Canonical bullshit, and plenty of software available. XFCE should be instantly familiar to anyone coming from Windows, but is still a good DM in its own right.
