If you want one, buy one. They can be useful for watching videos, reading, and web browsing.
There's not much of a point in getting a 7-inch tablet Android tablet when you have a Note 3. Something like a Surface can do a fair bit more than an ARM-based tablet.

I got a used samsung galaxy tab 3 for $50 and it works great for watching pornhub in bed when I don't want to hold my laptop at an uncomfortable angle.

Whatever you do, don't get a low res screen tablet. Anything above 7'' absolutely needs at least a 1080p display, preferable 1440/1600p.
