So I am in the market for a new monitor.
Im running a GeForce 750ti. I am not much of a gamer, I mostly use my computer for web browsing, movies, music production and porn. When i do game I play CS GO.
Would a 1440p monitor be worth it for these uses? I am on the fence between a 25" 1440p IPS display, or a 29" 21:9 1080 IPS display. I multitask a lot, having multiple windows open at once.
Whats /g/'s opinion?

I thought a 29 inch 21:9 would be 2560 x 1080?

From what i've heard a 1440p monitor is quite nice for the extra screen space on desktop uses. And for gaming it wont be a massive differance but you will notice it.

not necessarily.

thanks. im not really looking for information, just some opinions
I had to make that same choice. I picked an LG 29 inch ultrawide. More surface to work with > pixel density. If you have any questions, ask away.

thanks this was the kind of response i was looking for. I think ill save $100 and go with the ultrawide.

one question though, do you have an opinion on the QNIX 2710?
>>55992745
1440 is the way to go. 1080 is for tv sets

I'd probably get a 1440p 27 inch over my ultrawide, but I don't really trust those Korean brands especially with no warranty.
