Any media people don't use anymore. VHS, CED, Laserdisc. Anything.
Tapes. Kinda slow if you load big programs, but not so bad for smaller ones like this 1 KB game:

Granted you can't put much in 1024 bytes, but that's all a stock ZX-81 had anyway. Even the VIC-20 only had 5 KB, but you can actually make pretty cool stuff with that, and the loading times are still ok.
Pic is Matra Alice (rebranded Tandy MC-10) that had 8 KB, so tapes made sense there too.
Great for making mix tapes from radio songs or various other tapes, or anything else really. I even recorded some of my favorite movies audio tracks to tape so I had something to listen to. And unlike CDs, they don't skip when you hit a bump in the road or whatever. And they're more resilient too. Plus the small form factor and case design is just fucking cool.

Floppies.
'Twas so nice to push them in and pull them out.

I thought that's not an issue like for 10 latest years.

It wouldn't be an issue in any CD player competent enough to buffer a few seconds in advance
