i have 192 icons, half of them are already folders. Maybe i could organize a little and reduce the number of icons, but what when my desktop is full of folder icons ?

next, internet shortcuts do not fucking belong on your desktop
they can be

folders do not ever belong on desktops
you can have LINKS to folders if you need them, but make sure your shit is organized first, because hierarchy autism is something everyone an this board should be good at, and once you stop putting them on your fucking desktop, nature will take over

Yes i don't have internet shortcut, my bookmarks folders are another story desu

For music it's ok too, i only have a playlist shortcut.

But yeah... i almost have a hundred folders on my desktop, and binary to games that aren't on steam or just source, and pdfs from articles or books, and txt, some jpg. Some of it i use, the rest i want to read or use in a near future and i know if i move those things i'll probably never use them.
But nothing is really related to work(except maybe the reading material), i have a subst for work where it looks really clean with nothing else.

And there's always something on top of my desktop, my browser, a program, etc.
