Rufusl now has a working system for partitioning, formatting, a working Logger with printf() capability, a working status ticker and progress bar. Over 5000 lines of code have been modified.
It's going good.

I sincerely urge you to port this to snaps
What the fuck is this?

Rufus for Linux.
PS: The theme on root is bad. That is why it looks weird.
>>55983434
What's Rufus?
>>55983434
>Rufus for Linux
There is no necessity for this kind of softwares in linux to begin with. Go shill it somewhere else.
>>55983469
Why do you feel that that is the case?
Keep up the good work OP.
What is your TODO list as of now?
>>55983522
not sure if bait but I'll bite, linux can naively burn isos to USBs through DD terminal command and through a GUI program which is embedded with all distros and versions of linux.
>>55983593
Thats what makes rufus for linux great
>>55983608
So why do you feel that that is the case?
With native "Disks" tool I can burn ISOs of any kind of OS in USB in literally three clicks.

You can not burn UDF images with dd, which Windows and BSD use.

ISO Info reading
ISO extraction
NTFS formatting
Recursive file copying
Find where a MBR resides on a Windows ISO.

Great work.
I have no use for it but it's always nice to see new GUI software which triggers Arch manchildren in to emotional breakdowns.

>>55983593
The only problem is rufus can make it boot grub or syslinux / uefi or bios. It's not the easiest thing to setup with dd.
Most of the time I use dd but if I don't it's almost always rufus.
Good job op keep up the good work.
>tfw winfags complain about lack of gui utilities
>mfw winfags complain gui utilities for linux is pointless

This https://wiki.gnome.org/Design/Apps/Disks can make isos boot on everything. It can even burn Apple's dumb .dmg files to USBs and make it bootable for hackintosh installs. Try it. This tool is what I was explaining here. >>55983593
>>55983338
why are you porting this to be honest? Is it so that winfags can easly create a windows iso on their first time ubuntu or something?
