Ask questions, get answers.
OpenBSD is really pushing that W^X stuff in ports. In -current you can only have W|X pages in a program linked with wxneeded and on a wxallowed filesystem.

As it should be. That's probably why they recommend you separate your OpenBSD primary partition as much as possible.
Also, RPI support very soon:

Genuine question here, what advantages doe BSD have over any linux distribution?
>>55982457
it's an actual operating system unlike linux distros which are just linux + a userland that are developed separately
>>55982457
The license says you can steal from them. Go ahead and steal some bsd code for yourself. No one cares.

Serious question. How do you secure OpenBSD against third party exploits? What is the substitution for MAC in OpenBSD?
>>55982634
Isn't that a good thing? Even if it isn't, why is that important?
>>55983769
code quality is a little more consistent
the patches are usually released by the dev teams themselves instead of having 60 different distros with 60 different patches
I fancy moving over from GNU/Linux to BSD as a daily driver, but there's one thing I want to ask first, does Steam natively run in *BSD? I'm not really too interested in playing video games, but I use it to talk to people

>does Steam natively run in *BSD?
nope, only way you can get that to run is through freebsd with the linux compat layer
it's a pain in the ass
So hyped for OpenBSD 6.0.
