No, 3:2 masterrace.
>>
>>55973319
Good 16:9 monitors aren't any cheaper.
The thing is that there are practically no bad 16:10 monitors which could be sold for cheap. It's a ratio almost exclusively targeted at a specific user base with a lot of money and huge demands.

I agreed with you up until today when I started using my new 2560x1440 - this is the ideal size. 1080p is trash, though, not enough vertical space, so if you're not bumping up to 1440p then 1200 is where it's at.

HP LZ2475w masterace reporting in.

>its too much vertical space
had my 1440p for at least 6 months and as much as i love it i sometimes still feel it's too short. maybe that's because it's only 23" and therefore physically smaller than my old 24" 16:10 Dell.

you pretty much have no choice but to go with 16:9 if you're going 1440p and beyond, as 16:10 greatly reduces your options and prices become unjustifiable
>>
16:10 is only meaningful on laptops and tablets where the space actually matters.

Just buy a 27" 1440p or larger 1440p/4K monitor and you'll have plenty of space vertically. If you're absolutely anal about 16:10, just run it at a 16:10 resolution with small black bars in the sides.

16:10 primary monitor for work and processing with a 16:9 secondary monitor for media consumption.

Works perfectly.
