Open source has never got particularly good at very fine GUI detail and ergonomics. Anything graphical has generally lagged in the OSS world, probably because that kind of coding is inherently ugly, time-consuming, and usually custom-framework-demanding. I'm a staunch OSS guy, and I usually refer to these two programs when people ask me what proprietary software is superior and probably won't be undermined by OSS.

I still use it today. Last copy that didn't require activation, and didn't have bank note detection. Not bloated at all and runs fine on modern operating systems. I can have multiple projects open and it uses less resources than a single chrome tab.
