I don't know about god tier, but I just watched Threads, which is a 1980s depiction of nuclear war in Sheffield, UK. It's pretty grim, but good. There's also some good soviet documentaries but a lot of them are only in russian (i speak it but not fluently) so it's hard to find subbed versions.
