I have a simple question /g/.
Is it at all possible to do this? To duplicate/project my monitor's feed to an LCD TV?
Or must I connect directly to my PC, as my monitor does?
The latter

you'll need a peripheral which can split the hdmi into two, and you'll need an extra cord to do this.
i dont know of any monitor capable of what you're asking, esp since vga is aids
>>55947739
this could be possible using displayport, but not hdmi + vga
Welp, that means I gotta go buy stuff but atleast now I'm not wasting my time on the impossible. Thanks y'all.
Does your PC not have a VGA port?

vga is ancient
and most gpus don't allow dvi plus hdmi bcus they're on the same block or whatever.
aids i tell ya, aids.

There's a VGA port through the mobo but none on my GTX 970, where the HDMI is connected through.
>Just bought a VGA to scart box
>Use it on my LCD TV
>Text is completely unreadable

thinking maybe a displayport monitor that daisychains with an active adapter

Let me explain it to you this way, OP. Your monitor has one or two video INPUT connector(s). Monitors almost never have a video OUTPUT connector.
I'm going to assume that there may in fact be monitors with video outputs. But, if so, they are custom-made, and not commonly available.
