Some people love ascii/ansi art and the retro feeling, is just that we need some improvement.

Lets rescue BBS guys. How can we improve the experience to attract people? I believe a mix between BBS and sshchan is the future.

And remember my suggestion to try sschan https://github.com/makos/sshchan-oop, the feel is similar to a TUI 4chan. I can totally see forums like these with the fancy ascii and other BBS services. Is the future of BBS imho.

You can sometimes find BBS portals on amateur radio bands if you have the appropriate equipment to do so. Usually on HF bands. Shit can be slow but its an interesting experience to say the least.

Otherwise BBS is pretty much dead.

30 years? In 86 the BBS boom was at its peak, the web wasn't invented until 89, and didn't really become mainstream until 1994/5. So not quite, more like 20 years.
