pic related is what im using to plug my headphones into. I've been using it for months now and its been great. It's a plug n play device and doesnt require driver installation.
I wake up today and its not showing up in Playback Devices, and driver manager says its unrecognized. When I try to uninstall whatever driver it had and search online automatically for a driver it says "Access is Denied"
Give the computer back Jamal. You're on a guest account.

Try a different USB port.

i just tried that again and now this is stuck here. it wont load any further
>>55933066
Give it a minute
If it's still having issues it could just be electrically damaged
>>55933083
im gonna try to restart my computer. should i leave it plugged while i restart or plug it in after?

I'd leave it plugged in but it probably shouldn't matter.
I'd just make sure it's different from the port you were using last night

Can you uninstall the driver and try again?
Looks like it might be damaged.

>having to install drivers to use headphones
Because surely there isn't another much more convenient, driverless, and universal method to connecting headphones to the computer.
>b-but my headphones are special, they use an RCA audio jack
Yeah, well that's your own fault for buying headphones that don't use the standard 1/4inch jack.

Maybe your windows updated to anniversary edition? If you have secure boot enabled, that will not let you install certain drivers.
Delete windows 32 and then reboot and install Linux. Or revert settings back to Windows vista zach
