Greetings.
I'm trying to build a surround sound system for my home, specialized mainly for music. All the reviews I could find unfortunately concerned the american market
(Pioneer SP-PK52FS Andrew Jones, ELAC Debut, Intimus 5B Harmony SD).
My budget is around 1000 euros for the speakers (1500 for something really special). Do you have any recommendations?
I'm using 4x Jamo s606 with my A/V Receiver connected to my pc, tv, mixer, ... works good

just get some studio monitors and you're set for life famalam
>surround sound
>music
are you sure
So generally you dont propose surround speakers for music? 2.1 would be preferable?
>>55932357
yes
unless you have lots of music that's mixed in surround of course
>>55932357
Ever gonna watch a movie with those speakers?
2.1 will be awful since most movies have a dedicated channel for voices and voices in movies are always to low unless you can control that specific channel.
Well... until there's nothing going on then the voices are audible, but then! MUSIC BAM BAM, voices more silent than a whisper behind all the music and explosions.

every receiver on the market is able to control the channel volumes of your stereo downmix, so you can just pull up your phantom center channel if that happens

Something like this then? Or should i search for a 2.1 setup?

that version might be a little small depending on your listening distance. KEF coaxials are nice, though
My listening distance will be about 2m

go with the q300 or 500 then at least

The 2 way coincident line is middling. That extends to most other 2 way coax models, KEF or otherwise.
Got any PSB or Infinity models in your area? I'll try to recall some specific models.
Speakers marketed to the production audience, near field monitor as they like to call them, are another viable option.
Why the fuck do you want surround sound. So you have 5 ears or something nigga?
