I'm gonna hijack this because I can't have more than 5 threads open at a time (I'm a power user and all my threads on this board are extremely successful and keep active all day long).


Why doesn't North Korea start a torrent tracker?


They hate the US, so it would be a great way for them to say "fuck you capitalist/globalist pigs", and would never comply with DMCA requests or any other takedown attempts.

Yeah, they censor everything for the local population, but the tracker could be open only to foreigners

It would be a great way to generate money for the country to feed their population (through bitcoin donations) or whatever they use the money they get for.

Also, it made the youth from all over the world to respect and start liking the country. It would be great for their propaganda purposes, and eventually they could make a few reforms (like ending slave camps etc.) little by little and be loved even more and become an feasible alternative country for everyone who doesn't want to live in the American/Hollywood-owned world anymore.

Thus I conclude that becoming a piracy hub is the best plan North Korea could possibly have as a country.
