>tfw you change your mac address for the first time in your life
I'm a little scared though /g/. How can I be sure they won't sent a SWAT team after me if I connect my desktop to the internet with a spoofed mac address now?

Well, you'll know in a few, won't you.

Watch out. You are probably on some watch lists already.
Your MAC address is completely irrelevant outside your network.
Most fingerprinting techniques work on higher layers of the OSI model.

You clearly don't.

Why are you shitheads bumping a troll thread?
A fucking thread died for this shit.

OP sounds serious. I wonder if he's still in the thread.

What the fuck, my MAC address is all zeroes but there are no zeroes in my IPv6.
Very interesting...
>>55926046
Cisco equipment will drop frames with all zero MACs. Are you sure your whatever software you're using isnt lying to you? Open up Wireshark and take a look to see what MAC is actually being sent across the wire.
>>55926046
Fuck you mean? Nobody has all 0s for their mac address. Is that shit even valid?

Yes I'm positive, I changed and flashed the network controller myself.
I know Linux and OS X would make up MAC addresses for cards without one, but Windows should not do that...
Maybe IPv6 has something like that too, gotta look into it, interesting find anyways.
