I have an iPhone because when the 3G was being sold, android phones were fucking shit. Nokia smartphones like the N95 were even worse.

I like the clean, consistent UI, and most of my non-productivity apps are for making music, something the apple app store is far better for. Audio latency in android was (is?) a joke. Since I liked the phone, and it did everything I wanted (with jailbreak), I kept buying the major releases.

The last thing I really wanted was a big screen on the phone I already loved so I went with the 6 plus. Going forward, I'm not excited about iPhones anymore unfortunately. They've just kind of been resting on their laurels, and the dearth of jailbreaks is getting annoying since I'm always stuck on an old version.

Last time I used an android phone full time was the Samsung Galaxy S2, and the lagdroid was real. Another annoying issue, with I saw with a lot of android phones, is the quiet fucking audio output. Anything recorded pre-loudness wars is unusable because you'll never get the music louder than your outside surroundings, unless you jack it up in an EQ and introduce some nice crispy digital distortion.

After the galaxy S2 for a few months, I went back to the iphone. I'm strongly considering Android for my next phone, though. I hear the lag thing is no more, and hopefully there's a phone out there with high audio output.
