There's no reason for larger than 1080p on a smartphone, the PPI is already at the point where it makes pretty much no fucking difference to raise the resolution. It's just wasting resources. Nah, it's just that mid-range devices have quickly started to lose appeal because the market is a bunch of niche poorfag hobbyists.

Either you can't afford a nice phone and instead just get low end devices and replace them frequently, or you can afford an installment plan to get a new phone every year or two. The market for mid-range devices has shrunk because depending on how you work these installment plans, you can get yourself a new flagship every year for like $240 spread out with one of these plans, so why put down $250 all at once on a device that is decidedly worse? If you really want a smooth experience get a phone with UFS storage, it's like a mini ssd and since this tech is developed by them most Samsung phones have it.

I´m really not biased towards any of those systems. I used to have an S3 for a short period of time and some things were nicer. Like downloading APK´s n shit.

But in general IOS felt just smoother.
