I do have a facebook account made years ago when it wasn't that huge and myspace was still a thing, but I don't use it much. I do keep it updated with recent pictures and even make posts occasionally, but I'm the type of person who prefers phonecalls or face-to-face conversations.

The thing that makes people hate it is that they think that you have to read about what people had for lunch and like photos of their cats.

If you just create one and never log in, never post and never read, you've basically just registered your email in a context sensitive phone book.

You don't have to deal with any inane bullshit, and people you meet IRL can get in touch with you given only your first name and the person they know you through.
