Debian/kFreeBSD

"- + - = +" does not apply there. A shitty DE with a shitty linux-based distro both made by incompetents narrow-minded retards don't make a good OS together.
Grow out your comfort zone and start experimenting with real softwares made by real devs.

Why is CentOS so underrated?
>>55896902
This. The new anniversary update is fucking great.

wtf anon
not everyone is a hobbyist neckbeard who likes to tinker with his computer all day.
besides, even "stable" linux releases are buggier than windows. i can't imagine the unstable stuff.

Unstable actually means, not lacking basic features in browsers, office software etc. and being compatible with standards established 5 years ago.
>besides, even "stable" linux releases are buggier than windows. i can't imagine the unstable stuff.
It is mostly the same, as "stable" bistros actually don't have the manpower and competence to fix/patch a major part of all bugs.
>>55897794
>features in browsers, office software etc.
isn't that software pretty much completely independent from the os?
obviously apart from some niche new functionality, but i can't imagine what firefox is missing on an old distro.

>isn't that software pretty much completely independent from the os?
No, unfortunately not. It should be, but isn't.
LO isn't a too good example though, think of smaller applications that don't have the manpower to have a stable/dev shism.
>but i can't imagine what firefox is missing on an old distro.
security fixes
>inb4 muh backpatching
Let's not rely on those bistro fags that don't know what they are doing, should we?
I can't say I have the urge to settle for something else.
